INTRODUCING THE STUDIO ROLLING CART
Creating a Studio That Feels Like Home | Behind the Scenes at Meraki Fine Art Studios
Taking over this photography studio after co-owning it for years in 2023 was one of the most meaningful chapters of my career. What started as a familiar space has slowly, intentionally become something deeply personal. Over the past year, I’ve poured my heart into transforming this Northern Utah photography studio into a place that feels inspiring, welcoming, and creatively freeing for every photographer and client who walks through the door.
Every change you see has been thoughtful and hands-on. From rearranging layouts to sourcing textures, props, and furniture that feel elevated yet cozy, my goal has been to create a luxury photo studio that still feels like home. A space where creativity flows easily and no one feels rushed or boxed in.
One of my favorite recent projects has been the rolling cart. A few of us spent hours building it together, adjusting, reworking, and laughing along the way. It was one of those projects that reminded me why I love this work so much. The cart instantly added movement and playfulness to sessions and has already been used for faux baking scenes, styled storytelling moments, and creative setups throughout the studio.
Right now, the cart is flexible and intentionally simple. We roll it throughout the studio and style it differently each time, which allows photographers renting the studio to create variety without needing an overwhelming amount of props. But this is just the beginning. In the coming year, I plan to slowly collect kitchen-inspired props and transform the cart into a full, styled kitchen set. A space perfect for baking sessions, holiday portraits, and storytelling imagery. The vision behind it brings me so much joy, and I can’t wait to watch it evolve.
These updates aren’t about trends or aesthetics alone. They’re about how a space feels. Whether someone is here for a boudoir session, family portraits, or renting the studio for their own clients, I want them to feel grounded, supported, and creatively inspired. A studio should hold you. It should invite you to slow down, breathe, and create something meaningful.
At the heart of everything I do, photography is about self-worth. It’s about helping people see themselves in a way they may have forgotten. When someone steps into a space that feels intentional and cared for, it changes the energy of the entire experience. That matters to me deeply.
As a Northern Utah boudoir photographer and studio owner, my goal has always been to create more than just beautiful images. I want to create moments that feel honest and empowering. Spaces that allow stories to unfold naturally. The studio continues to grow alongside me, and I’m so proud of how far it’s come since 2023.
There is so much more coming, and this is only the beginning. I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for every person who has trusted this space, created within it, and made it feel alive.
