Get Ready | Your Self-worth Experience

What to Expect From Your Experience

From the moment you book, this experience is designed to feel supportive, intentional, and ease-filled not intimidating.

Once your session is officially reserved, you’ll receive a comprehensive preparation guide sent straight to your inbox. This guide walks you through everything you need to know ahead of time: what to wear, how to prepare your skin, what to expect emotionally, and how to arrive feeling grounded and confident. It answers the questions most clients don’t even realize they have yet, so nothing ever feels like guesswork. You’ll feel informed, supported, and gently held every step of the way before you even arrive.

When You Arrive at the Studio

When you walk into the studio, the energy is calm, welcoming, and unhurried. There is no pressure to perform, pose perfectly, or “know what you’re doing.” This space exists for you to simply arrive as you are.

You’ll begin your session relaxing in the makeup chair while being styled in a way that reflects you whether that’s soft and natural or a little more elevated and polished. Depending on the day of your session, either myself or one of my colleagues Michelle or Jess will take care of hair and makeup. On weekdays, I personally handle styling. Come dressed in loose, comfortable clothing (and skip the bra if you can) to avoid marks on the skin and help your body stay relaxed during styling.

Many of my full collections also include empowerment coaching with Shelby. This is a private, gentle conversation focused on self-worth, boundaries, and reconnecting with yourself not anything overwhelming or “woo woo.” Shelby has a calming presence and a grounded approach that helps ease nerves and create clarity. Clients often say this portion alone shifts how they see themselves long after the session ends.

During Your Session

Once we begin shooting, I guide you through everything. You do not need to know how to pose or move, I’ll show you exactly what to do, down to the smallest details. Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like a slow, intentional flow of movement, breath, and presence.

This is not about perfection. It’s about capturing you as you are confident, soft, strong, real. We move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. We pause when needed. We laugh. We breathe. And slowly, you begin to see yourself through a lens of compassion instead of criticism.

This experience is about honoring your body, your story, and your worth not changing yourself to fit a mold.

What to Wear (And What Boudoir Really Means)

Boudoir does not have to mean lingerie.

You are welcome to wear anything that makes you feel confident and comfortable. That might be lingerie or it might be a t-shirt, a bodysuit, a sweater, a button-down, or nothing structured at all. There are no rules here.

You may choose to wear pieces from my client closet (sizes XS–5XL), which includes feather robes, antique lingerie, soft layers, and optional full-body wings. On the day of your session, I’ll have curated options laid out in your size for you to try on and choose from. If you go this route, you’ll need to bring your own underwear for hygiene purposes. I recommend one black and one skin-tone thong.

You’re also encouraged to bring your own outfits if that feels more aligned. Choose pieces that feel like you, not what’s trending. Comfort and confidence matter more than anything else. If this is your first session and lingerie feels intimidating, that is completely okay many clients start with fully covered looks and ease into more as they feel ready.

If lingerie is your thing, bodysuits and high-waisted sets tend to photograph beautifully on all body types and are client favorites for a reason. If you’d like shopping recommendations, I’m always happy to share them.

After Your Session

After your images are carefully edited, we’ll schedule your image reveal. This can be done in person at the studio or online if you’re unable to return in person.

During your reveal, you’ll view your images on a large screen in a calm, relaxed environment. You simply choose the photos you love, I’ll take care of the rest. If you’re interested in albums or printed products, you’ll be able to see and feel different materials and finishes so you know exactly what you’re choosing. Nothing feels rushed, pressured, or overwhelming.

This is often where everything comes full circle — where clients see themselves differently than they ever have before.

This experience is about more than photographs.
It’s about slowing down, reconnecting, and allowing yourself to be seen gently, honestly, and without judgment.

I can’t wait to create this with you.

Still Unsure?

That makes sense.

You don’t have to feel 100% confident, healed, or ready to deserve this experience. Most women don’t arrive feeling brave they arrive feeling curious, tired, or quietly craving something more.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about giving yourself space.

You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to have a certain body.
You don’t need to show more than you want to.

You just need to show up as you are.

Everything here is designed to feel safe, supported, and intentional from the pace we move at, to the conversations we hold, to the way you’re guided every step of the way.

If this experience keeps crossing your mind, there’s probably a reason. Sometimes the bravest thing isn’t feeling fearless it’s listening to the quiet nudge that says “maybe this is for me.”

And if now isn’t the right time? That’s okay too. Trust yourself. You’re allowed to move at your own pace.

Whenever you’re ready, this space will meet you with compassion
